I am a Nova Scotian Native; I grew up in HRM, but the love of horses brought me to the Annapolis Valley a few years ago. While I didn’t grow up with horses, it was a passion found later in life, I am trying my best to make up for lost time.
I feel like I have known about Sable Island my entire life, but didn’t know about Friends of Sable Island until recently, when horses brought April Hennigar and I together. As soon as I heard of the society I joined as a member. I was thrilled to learn of opportunity to join the board. I am currently acting as secretary, and I am confident I will get up to speed quickly on the ins and outs of Friends of Sable Island. It is my hope to bring my background of Digital Marketing and Public Relations to the help spread the word of the society.
