Terry W. Hennigar, Director at Large – Fresh Water

Terry was born and raised in the Annapolis – Cornwallis Valley and attended Acadia University where he was introduced to engineering, geoscience, and hydrogeology (the study of groundwater). He started his career with the Nova Scotia Department of Mines, now N.S. Dept. of Natural Resources. He has also worked for Environment Canada, several national consulting companies, and now has his own business specializing in Hydrogeology, Groundwater, and Water Supplies. His study of the water resources of Sable Island, during the 1970s, was the first evaluation of the fresh water available on the Island, and is still the only reference on this very valuable resource of the Island.
